Case study — Absolute Racing Japan

Run the whole dealership by talking to Senna.

An agent-first ERP for a Japanese performance-car dealership. Sales and operations teams run the whole business — inventory, auctions, reconditioning, reservations, sales and exports — by asking one context-aware agent. Senna answers on an interactive dark canvas, knows what you're looking at, and proposes the writes so people approve instead of type.

The challenge

A performance-car dealership is a dozen systems in a trench coat.

Sprawling operations

Auction bidding, imports and pickup, reconditioning, reservations, leasing, exports and competitor pricing — each with its own state, deadlines and money at risk.

Answers buried in data

"What's aging?" "What keeps selling?" "What's blocking the close?" meant cross-referencing spreadsheets no one had time to build.

Every write is high-stakes

Price changes, offers and hold extensions move real yen. Staff needed speed without losing the paper trail of who changed what.

The approach

Make the agent the primary surface. Screens are the fallback.

Instead of teaching staff eleven modules, we gave them one operations agent. Senna reads the whole ERP, renders answers in a strict visual grammar, and turns intent into reviewable writes.

How a write happens
1Ask

Staff ask in plain language. Senna runs the matching report template.

2Propose

The canvas shows a Suggested card — e.g. "4 price updates on aged stock".

3Review

A drawer lists each mutation. The user selects which to approve.

4Commit

Writes run under Senna's agent identity, land in the activity log, and the canvas re-runs against post-write reality.

SAFETY BY DESIGN

Nothing writes without approval. Prices and margins never reach employees' screens — the API strips them, so the columns simply don't render. And when the server is uncertain a write landed, Senna surfaces the ambiguity rather than silently retrying and double-charging.

The big idea

A living canvas that can report on anything in the business.

Ask about aging stock, a single buyer, this quarter's forecast or one car's history — Senna composes a rich, interactive report on the fly and paints it on the canvas. Not fixed dashboards: structured, drillable answers to whatever's happening right now, each one pinnable and exportable.

Structured, not chatty

Every answer is a real report — KPI tiles, sortable tables, pipelines, forecasts — rendered in one consistent grammar, never a wall of text.

Interactive & drillable

Expand groups, sort columns, open a vehicle, follow a thread. The canvas is a workspace, not a printout.

Report on anything

If the ERP knows it, Senna can surface it — across inventory, sales, recon, auctions, reservations and exports.

Context-aware

It knows what you're looking at.

Open a vehicle and just ask “tell me about this car.” Senna reads the screen you're on — the record, the filters, the report in view — and answers with that in mind. No re-typing VINs, no restating context. Perfect for a salesperson mid-conversation on the lot.

Automations

Senna watches the yard so the team doesn't have to.

Suggested pricing

Watches age against category thresholds and market comps, then drafts price adjustments for one-tap approval.

Auction tracking

Follows bids, wins and pickup deadlines — flags storage fees accruing and cars awaiting collection.

Aging alerts

Surfaces capital tied up in stock that's sitting too long, before it quietly erodes margin.

Restock signals

Spots models that keep selling and are running low, ranked by a stock-gap score.

Reservation nudges

Tracks accepted offers and what's blocking each close — expiring holds, missing paperwork, deposits.

Competitor watch

Keeps an eye on comparable listings so pricing stays sharp against the market.

Report library

Ready-made reports — or ask for something new.

A growing library of one-word reports the team leans on daily. Each is just a starting point — Senna reshapes any of them, or composes a fresh one, on request.

Inventory Snapshot

Stock by model and age, grouped and collapsible.

Aging Inventory

Units over category thresholds, with suggested price cuts.

Restock Candidates

Sold well, running low — ranked by stock-gap score.

Recon Pipeline

Work orders by stage, blockers flagged inline.

Awaiting Pickup

Auction wins by priority, storage fees accruing.

Reservations Blockers

Accepted offers by what's blocking the close.

Sales Forecast

Pipeline-adjusted Q-forecast with p10–p90 bands.

Requests × Stock

Open client requests matched against current stock.

Order Candidates

What keeps selling — velocity × margin, pinnable.

Stock Match

One buyer's criteria scored across the yard.

Under the hood

Manual screens for every module — always one tab away.
